My name is Rute, I am 42 years old and I’m a carrier of Diffuse Scleroderma for 14 years.

After I was diagnosed with the disease, my life radically changed and I began to value the simplest things in life, like breathing and feeling the wind in my face!

To be honest, I never let the disease overcome me!

My thought is, I already was here in this world when Scleroderma came into my life, so everything I always dreamed of doing, I actually did, I overcame myself, as well as my greatest fears, like skydiving!

Scleroderma didn’t take anything away from me, but it gave me a new perspective about life!

Above all “I AM MY PASSION, NOT MY DISEASE!”.
